Career and Maternity Coaching

Hi, I’m Denise Tuke and I set up my coaching business to support women navigating pivotal career transitions.

I’ve made career changes myself: my initial career spanned recruitment and human resources both in London and the United States. When I became a parent I realised that I was looking for more flexibility and so freelanced for many years as an HR and Recruitment and Assessment Consultant. When I found that this wasn’t really working for me I considered my options and decided to take a mini career break and trained as a Pilates instructor.  This allowed me to work around my children whilst turning a hobby into a job.

As my children grew up I considered what I wanted to from my career and took an MSc in Organisational and Business Psychology with the University of Liverpool.  My academic studies culminated in a dissertation examining the impact of taking a career break to care for children on working mothers’ career decisions and that was planted the seeds for my new career.  I’ve since taken accredited Career Coach training with Career Counselling Services and accredited maternity coach training with the Maternity Coach.  I am a member of the Association for Coaching and am committed to ongoing professional development and coaching in accordance with its code of ethics.

Throughout my career a constant thread has been developing and supporting others.  Now, working with individuals and organisations, I can draw on my experiences and help others making career related decisions at pivotal times.
